Kidnappers kill Osun Permanent Secretary

The Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of General Services in Office of the Governor of Osun State, Mrs. Olufunke Oluwakemi Kolawole has been killed by suspected kidnappers in Abuja.





Daily Trust gathered that the Oluwakemi and another person were in her official car driven by her driver when the kidnappers attacked them on the road and kidnapped her.




Oluwakemi was travelling along Okene-Abuja highway for an official assignment in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. The kidnappers took her away and her corpse was eventually found on the road.

The Director of the Bureau of Communication and Strategy in the Office of the Governor, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon confirmed the death of the PS, saying that it came as a rude shock.

Okanlawon said “We commiserate with the families of the deceased, the entire public service and the State Government of Osun on this irreparable loss. Details of the burial programme shall be released as soon as they are announced by her family.
