Aaron Ramsey tells Arsenal that it is time for the Gunners to step up their away form ahead of their trip to Tottenham
Aaron Ramsey has told his Arsenal team-mates that it is time for them to step up their away form as they prepare for their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The north London side have struggled to find consistent form away from The Emirates this term and they slumped to a 3-1 loss to Swansea City in South Wales last week.
Arsenal managed to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday night when they secured an impressive 5-1 win over Everton at The Emirates.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both made their home debuts for the north London side since signing in the January transfer window.
The new signings will now be hoping to help inspire the Gunners to a crucial Premier League win over Spurs at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.
And Ramsey has talked up the importance of the north London side claiming all three points agains the Lilywhites this weekend.
Speaking to BT Sport after Saturday’s game, Ramsey said: “Of course [the Tottenham game is the perfect chance to replicate our home form].
“In front of our home fans we’ve been absolutely brilliant.
“I think we’ve only slipped up once against United, even though we played very well on the day.
“We’ve got to improve away from home, simple as that. Hopefully we can replicate what we did today against Spurs on Saturday.”
Arsenal missed out on a top-four finish last season as they ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table.
The Gunners had to settle for a place in the Europa League rather than the Champions League this term.
